A panel discussion on "Occupational Health and Safety in the Healthcare Sector" was held at the Social Sciences Vocational School.

The Property Protection and Security Department of the Social Sciences Vocational School at Çankırı Karatekin University organized a discussion on "Occupational Health and Safety in the Healthcare Sector."

The event, moderated by Lecturer Seçil Ayanoğlu, took place on March 5, 2026, at 12:00 PM in the Blue Hall of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. İbrahim Karaköse, a Class A Occupational Safety Specialist from Çankırı Private Karatekin Hospital, participated as a speaker and shared his experiences.

The discussion addressed occupational risks encountered in healthcare institutions, practices aimed at preventing risks, the creation of a safety culture, and the role of occupational safety specialists in the healthcare sector.

In his presentation, Karaköse stated that hospitals inherently harbor many risks. He emphasized that the healthcare sector was one of the most affected areas, particularly during the pandemic, and provided information about the difficulties experienced and preventive measures taken during that period.

During the event, students had the opportunity to learn about current and practical information regarding occupational health and safety practices in the healthcare sector, as well as to ask the expert questions about their professional career planning.

Following the question-and-answer session, which took place with active student participation, İbrahim Karaköse was presented with a plaque in commemoration of the day. The event concluded with a group photo session.
